Welcome to Kettering Amateur Swimming Club
Kettering Swimming Club is the premium competitive club within Kettering and the surrounding area's. We are a dynamic and exciting club with a long and proud history. Originally based at the Victoria Baths in Bath Lane Kettering, they moved to their present site on London Road in 1984.
Founded on the 15th of December 1914 the Kettering Men’s Swimming and Water Polo Club had 40 swimmers and 20 committee members. Membership to the club at the time cost 2 shillings and 2 pence (around 12.5p) and pool hire for 1 gala was 1 Guinea (about £1.05). Today’s galas take a minimum of 3 hours pool hire and it costs £60 per hour.

Funding Raising for trip to Borneo
One of our Club Capatains Charlotte Adair is taking part in a sponsored swim event and will be swimming 7,208 lengths of a 25m swimming Pool with the support of KASC to represent the distance it is from the Uk to Borneo. This is to raise money to travel to Borneo in 2016 to work on an innovative project to rehabilitate and aid the breeding of sun bears in captivity, ready for release back to the wild. In order to do this Charlotte will have to learn jungle survival skills, live with local families to learn the culture and climb to the summet of Mt Kinabalu. Charlotte is asking for sponsorship / donations that will go towards funding this trip. Charlotte will be challenging herself to swim this distance during the month of Januray 2015.
If you would like to sponser her please go to the following website.
