Welcome to Kettering Amateur Swimming Club
Kettering Swimming Club is the premium competitive club within Kettering and the surrounding areas. We are a dynamic and exciting club with a long and proud history. Originally based at the Victoria Baths in Bath Lane Kettering, we moved to our present site on London Road in 1984.
Founded on the 15th of December 1914 the Kettering Men’s Swimming and Water Polo Club had 40 swimmers and 20 committee members. Membership to the club at the time cost 2 shillings and 2 pence (around 12.5p) and pool hire for 1 gala was 1 Guinea (about £1.05). Today’s galas take a minimum of 3 hours pool hire and it costs £60 per hour.
Bob achieved 6th in the Men's 70-74 years 100m Breast Stroke and 4th in the 200m Breast Stroke.

Junior Swimmer of the Month - April 2016
Lucas Giles - Lucas has been awarded Swimmer of the Month due to his hardwork and positive attitude during training. This has meant that he has been able to progress through and complete the Academy stages of KASC in under 6 months. He is always keen to listen in order to improve his strokes and skills and takes on the feedback provided to him by his coaches. Lucas has also recently competed in his first gala and he put in some great performances on the night. Well Done Lucas!
Amelea Hawkes - Amelea has also recently progressed from the Academy to the Development 1. She has taken the increased training load in her stride and always puts in 100% effort at every session. Amelea has worked hard to improve certain aspects of her swimming and is continuing to do so in her new lane. She has also taken part in her first gala and manage exceptionally well with her busy schedule of races! Keep It Up Amelea
Senior Swimmer of the Month - April 2016
Caleb is swimmer of the month for April due to the excellent training attitude he has shown. Caleb has been motivated and putting in hard work, concentrating on good form and becoming much more competitive. Caleb's training times are coming down quickly. Well done Caleb, keep up the good work.
Charlotte is always motivated and puts in hard work with exerted effort. Charlotte also motivates the lane with her impressive focus. She has put in some really excellent, strong performances in training, especially in breaststroke. Charlotte continues to improve her butterfly and I am sure it will end up being one of her strongest strokes.
