Kettering Amateur Swimming Club

 

 

Welcome to Kettering Amateur Swimming Club

 

Kettering Amateur Swimming Club welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities who want to benefit from the expertise of the club. It aims to provide professional teaching and coaching for as wide a range of swimmers as possible, from learning to swim to nationally ranked swimmers.

 

With access to three top class pools across the county the club is able to offer a high standard of facilities, which allows our swimmers to compete at various levels in competitions at county and national level.

Click here for the information regarding the Deepings Sprint Gala in July. This is usually a well attended event by KASC and everyone who is eligible is encouraged to take part.  Please could all entries be handed to either This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. County Championships 2010

 

 

 

Adam Smith, Adam Taylor with the trophy, Simon Mitchell and James Brown.

 

On Saturday 6th March Kettering swimming club won the 4x50m relay race at the Northamptonshire County Championships held at Daventry. 

 

Simon Mitchell led off with the backstroke handing a lead over to Adam Smith (Breaststroke) who then passed the lead to James Brown (Butterfly) and who finally passed a lead to Adam Taylor (Freestyle) who took the team to victory over a strong Northampton Team with  Daventry Dolphins in 3rd place.    

 

The following day the squad, with Matt Lee replacing Simon Mitchell finished  2nd to Northampton in the 4x50m Freestyle relay with Daventry Dolphins in 3rd

The Girls squad finished 3rd behind Northampton & Wellingborough in both relays.

 

The 4x50 Medley relay squad was Kate Buckley (backstroke)  Connie Green (Breaststroke)  Masie Green (Butterfly) and Gina Lockwood (Freestyle) and the 4x50 freestyle squad was Emma Turner, Florence Whalley,  Connie Green and Gina Lockwood.

 

The overall performance from all Kettering Swimmers over the weekend was fantastic. So many personal best times were set it is simply not possible to list them all, but well done to everyone who took part.
